TAFs QUESTIONS ARNOLD ON FAMILY & CAMEOS! Schwarzenegger discusses Maria and Franco! Reported By: Randy Jennings Wednesday, September 18, 2002 As we all know, Arnold's weight-lifting pals often make cameos in his films. Will "T3: Rise of The Machines" also have his close pals make cameos? TheArnoldFans.com recently sat with The Oak and asked him personally. TAFs: Your bodybuilding buddies often make cameos in your films such as Sven and Franco. Have they shot any scenes in "T3"? Arnold: No, he didn't have time because he was busy with his own movie and his practices. He's a chiropractor. The problem with this kind of work is you can't tell anyone 'your shooting on Thursday.' Because for instance, one of the items we had at fundraisers for my charities: the Inner-city Games or the Special Olympics we auctioned off parts in the movie like a walk-on part. But THEN, if someone now gets established like we have had one business man, he paid 50 thousand dollars to have a walk-on part so we brought him in here and he was in this big shootout scene with me and the TX right there in the front lobby and with all the other people that we scattering around and hiding but we made sure he was right there in the front so you could see him because he paid a lot of money. Why not. But because of that guy was established, now the guy had to come back for a week. He only wanted to come for a day! So they say to him 'you can't leave.' He says 'I have to, I'm a business man! I have to go back to New York!' But I said 'you can't, we are following you now hiding, and coming out and making the call and all this stuff. You have a great part that will never be cut out in the movie but you have to stay.' So the 3rd day the guy came to my trailer and says 'Arnold, I'll give you another 50 grand to take me out of the damn movie, I'm busy and have to do all this stuff.' So this is the problem with those parts a lot of times. So, if I call Franco and I say "Franco, can you give me a day" and he gets in here - which happened on the first Terminator all of a sudden he gets a good role BUT then you have to stay. Did you take the guy's 50 and let him go? Arnold: I said to him 50 is not enough. 100 and you can go (laughs). No, he couldn't go. He just stayed around and his family flew out here. But in the end he was happy. But it¹s very tough. Like when I do a films and I sign up for maybe like 4 months shooting and what if it takes 5 and a half? What are you going to do? Walk away? You can't. TAFs: Will Franco be your best man again when you renew your vows? Will there be a big celebration? Arnold: My wife and I celebrated our 25 years of having met of August of 1977. It's now 25 years of when we have met so that was to me a real BIG celebration. It¹s amazing 25 years. You think where has the time gone? That whole thing and also how much my life has changed because of her. The impact she had as far as a person goes with my life, the four children, the kind of lifestyle I live, the home she created, the friend she has become over these last 25 years, and the tolerance she has displayed I mean sticking with a Republican every night. So it's just the most fantastic 25 years. So, I've really sold out. I've got this beautiful big diamond cross necklace and made this beautiful album that reflects the last 25 years of our life, the day we met to now. As a matter of fact, the day I gave her the album I had Courtney, one of her sisters shot the entire family in front of our house and she didn't know what it was for. She ran back and had it developed and put in this last photograph of the day of the thing. So she has like these 200 photographs throughout the album with all the highlights. Of course where do you start picking because there are so many highlights on how much fun we had and how many interesting experiences traveling around the world. We met the most extraordinary foreign leaders, politicians and religious leaders and visiting the Pope and child birth. I went for 2 weeks through all my photo albums picking out photographs so this is a really great way to celebrate that because for me it was very important. But the next 25 years celebration will be the wedding anniversary so yes, Franco will definitely be there. ---------- |
