![]() ![]() MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE: In the final film, The Terminator does not have his right eye servo exposed until later in the steel mill scene. In the Cyberdyne shootout they use storyboard Stage 4 to keep Arnold functional during the helicopter chase. In the steel mill the right eye servo gets exposed completly (stage5/6) , and his body looks worse then ever as you can see in the storyboards at the bottom of this text. ![]() ![]() T-1000 IS LOOSING IT!! After The T-1000's crystalization his body acts strange to show the public he's loosing it and to slow down the chase through the steel mill. The scan lines of chrome moving across his features shows that the T-1000 is trying very hard to keep functional. ![]() WHERE TO HIDE A GUN?? In the final film, it was only necessary to show that the T-1000 takes the guard's gun, so the scene of the T-1000 concealing the weapon from the night nurse by secreting it within its own body was dropped before it was to be filmed. ![]() THE LOST CROWBAR HAND. To make the scene more streamlined and to avoid costly computer graphics shots it was decided to have the shot-off crowbar hand remain solid until it rejoins T-1000's shoe. It also gave John Connor something active to do by grabbing the piece and hurling it off the trunk, however this storyboards show the first idea. ![]() HASTA LA VISTA, BABY!! The action of The Terminator crashing his Harley into the hospital elevator and blowing it up with his shotgun was a scene with an extra beat of mayhem which was easily omitted. The following shot of the T-1000 running out the burning elevator and morphing back to cop from chrome man was omitted too, because it almost was the same scene as earlier in the movie when the T-1000 walks out of the fire in the canal. ![]() The AERIAL HUNTER-KILLER. Because the budget for Terminator 2 was larger than the original film's budget the designers could use much more detail for the future war designs. This is the storyboard of the Aerial Hunter Killer which had to look powerfull and unstoppable according to James Cameron. ![]() HUNTER-KILLER TANK. This is the storyboard of another machine they used in the movie. Both ground and aerial war machines were built in miniature and photograhped by Fantasy 2. |
