TheArnoldFans spoke with Randy Falk, Director of Product Development NECA Toys, to discuss their new Conan The Barbarian action figures. We last spoke with Falk when he showed us his Terminator 3 Headknockers, lunchboxes and mugs during the release of "Rise of the Machines". A couple of years later, NECA came out with a couple of great T2 endoskeletons in the their excellent "Cult Classic" toy lines (regular size and an 18-inch Terminator).

Later NECA came out with some great Predator products including some killer HeadKnockers from Predator 1 and 2 and they are also pumping out new predators action figures for AVP2.

Now NECA is expanding into the Arnold universe with Conan! Thanks to Randy Falk, NECA is not only prepping to release a few series of Arnold and co-star figures, but the toy company ALSO hopes to release an 18-inch Arnold/Conan figure with many accesories (pray to Crom for dialogue).
Falk confirmed to TheArnoldFans that there WILL be an exclusive ComicCon Conan figure! He also gave us the exclusive that a Pit Fighter Conan figure will be released and it WILL be the version with Arnold wearing the giant claws!
CROM!! Falk also added that "there maybe more than one version of Pit Fighter Arnold."

Unfortunately when we asked him if we can expect a Conan Headknocker, he did not think so at this time. It's up to us Arnold Fans to demand they make one to accompany our other NECA Terminators and Predator Headknockers!
When asked about Conan the Destroyer figures, Randy says:
"Everything is Barbarian based for now and there will be 2 figures per wave plus some variants/exclusives here and there."
Randy Falk will be at the New York Comic Con and at the San Diego Comic Con and says there is something "cool" lined up for NYCC regarding Conan.
The license is not limited to the movie but for now their focus is on "Barbarian" since it has never been done and it is Arnold in his star-making role.
"I have wanted an Arnold Conan figure since I was 8 years old - now at almost 35 years of age I am finally getting one - and I'm instrumental in making that happen"
Falk also says an Arnold Dutch figure from Predator is a possibility!
"An original Predator would be nice and may happen someday but not anytime soon. We're still suffering from the expense of the AvP:R versions of the Predator. No progress on humans from Alien(s) or Predator but we're looking into it."
Look for these Conan figures in early summer of this year!

In other Barbarian news, the new Conan film from Nu Image is still a go. There was earlier concern amongst the Conan fans a few weeks back when a Conan lawsuit had emerged. Reuters reported that "Conan Properties International, the creator and owner of the underlying rights to the Conan the Barbarian films, is suing several parties, including Lionsgate, Edward R. Pressman Productions, Modern Times Group, and others, seeking a piece of net profits from the films."
Fear not! According to an IGN trusty insider, the lawsuit is intended to determine profit participation for the first two movies only, 1982's Conan the Barbarian and 1984's Conan the Destroyer. Thier source stressed that the lawsuit has nothing to do with Nu Image/Millennium's new Conan movie and does not affect it.
The new Conan film is expecting a 2009 release.
