Arnold fan Steve Miller, an Australian fan who recently won one of our "Terminator:SCC" contests, just contacted us about his Arnold-filled trip to the United States. Miller made the best of his vacation as he crammed in as many Schwarzenegger-related activities as he could while in California. Best of all, he showed up to California's State Capitol just in time to shake Arnold's hand!
Steve Miller writes: "Hi ArnoldFans, Here is a little rundown of my trip to the U.S. and some photos. I’m back in Melbourne, Australia after my trip to the USA, my first stop was to Las Vegas where my wife and I stayed at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, it used to be the Aladdin Resort and Casino but it’s been remodeled. My room had shirts displayed worn by Michael Keaton in Pacific Heights.

I also visited the Planet Hollywood Restaurant inside Caesars Palace twice for meals. They have a battle damaged T-800 and an endoskeleton, an Atlantean sword, a bust of Mr. Freeze, the make-up case Vanessa Williams uses in Eraser to smuggle out the disc, a Soviet MIRV-Six Warhead from True Lies and the “gun” Arnold sticks up his nose in Total Recall.

Then we moved to San Francisco and on the second to the last day, we took a coach to Sacramento. There was an agricultural fair in front of the state capital building. Just as we walked in, there was a huge crowd to the left and I realized that Arnold was in the center.

There was security all around him but I moved to the front and just as he came past, he turned shook my hand and greeted me. This was my first contact with Arnold, I have seen him once before in Sydney in 2000 for the End of Days premier, but he moved straight down the red carpet.

After this we got some souvenirs from the Capitol gift shop, we took a tour of the Capital Building, including outside the big guys office. Also, here is a photo of the cool stuff I picked up while in the USA.

The day after I returned from the states, there was a 'pop culture convention' basically a mini comic con, much smaller than you guys have. They had special guest speakers who were willing to have photos taken and sign autographs (for a fee). Some of the guests included James Kyson Lee from Heroes, John Rhys-Davies from Indiana Jones and The Lord of the Rings, Michael Winslow the "Human sound-effects machine" from the Police Academy movies and a bunch comic book artists I didn't know. But the reason I went was to see LOU FERRIGNO!

I had a photo with him he signed it (see attached pics), after that I went into another room where he took the stage to answer questions about his Hulk experiences, bodybuilding and catching up with his old bodybuilding buddies at the Arnold classic. He even talked about being a deputy sheriff. (see more attached pics, sorry camera didn't like the room bit blurry). I met Arnold and Lou 3 days apart on opposite sides of the world!!! To finish off he did a couple of quick poses, but couldn't turn my camera back on in time.

In another bit of news, Summer Glau and Thomas Dekker were/are here in OZ. I saw a TV interview on the 10th, but that's all I know... haven't seen or heard anything since. While investigating I found that they were here in February too, didn't hear a thing about that.

And last but not least, my Sarah Connor Chronicles package courtesy of TAFs was waiting for me when I got home, thanks heaps! it's excellent!"
