Following the Hollywood Premiere of Terminator Salvation, cast and crew were ready to celebrate. Leaving Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd., the Terminator stars and TheArnoldFans walked across the street to the location of the after party. Located behind the historic El Capitan Theater, this after party was the biggest celebration in Hollywood on Thursday, May 14th.

At roughly 9:30pm, following the film, the T4 celebs started to fill the post apocalyptic themed party... complete with a smoldering helicopter in ruins, T-600, T-1, flaming barrels, barb wire, music, celebrities and booze.

McG spoke with me about Arnold as he signed my T-RIP endoskeleton figure. The T-RIP, Arnold's model from the film, was signed all night throughout the after party.

Terminator producer, Gale Ann Hurd, signed my figure and told me that she had a lot to do with the casting of Arnold in the first Terminator. All hail Gale!

Luke Goss, who played the lead villain in Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, appeared to be Gale's date. I'm not sure if they're a couple but they did walk out together.

Dan Lin, Executive producer of Terminator Salvation and James Middleton from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles signs my T-RIP.

Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray was happy to talk about his favorite Arnold films and and take pictures with his fans.

It was nice finally getting to meet Gale Ann Hurd but another Terminator legend that I was happy to chat with was John Rosengrant, special effects and make-up artist of all four Terminator films! I'll have my complete interview online soon with this cool dude. My T-RIP gets signed again.

But the person I was most interested to meet was "Arnold" from T4. And I did! Since Arnold is computer generated in the film, I met the man that created and rendered this young T-800 Arnold for this film. Charlie Gibson, ILM special effects Academy Award Winner, spoke with me for some time telling me about the melding process of putting the CG over Roland, confirming some of the creation is Roland and most is CG. He also told me that the shadows on the walls are indeed 100% Roland's and not CG shadows. And did Arnold come in for any facial scans? Nope, Charlie and John told me about taking the original 1980's face mold of Arnold and created a new full bust to scan in the computer. John Rosengrant and his company, Legacy Effects, gave me three images of this Arnold bust. They look fantastic but I'm told I still need to clear them with WB before I can post them. So expect them online here soon.

Charlie Gibson not only signed my T-RIP figure, but he also signed a print-out that I made of two different images of the CG Schwarzenegger from the film. He signed the top one that he liked but made a little line through the lower one. He wasn't happy with that leaked image of the incomplete rendering.

It was certainly a fun evening; I learned a lot of inside Terminator facts, met many stars and several legends, and made some good new friends and contacts. Although I did not get to see Arnold this night, at least it was a pleasure seeing his kids again and meeting the man that produced his CG rendering. Other stars I saw at the after party (aside from all the lead actors of the film) were Rose Mcgowen, Jadagrace, Debbie Allen, McSteamy, Brook Burke and Tyrese Gibson.

I hope you enjoyed your trip inside the Terminator Salvation Hollywood after party. Photos on the black carpet and after party are courtesy of TAFs photographer GreenBerrets. We'll bring you at least one other red carpet event later this year along with next year's red carpet arrivals of The Expendables starring Arnold and Sly. The party has just begun.
