Did you get lucky this Valentines Day weekend? Well, I certainly had one of the most memorable times of my life as I juggled two beautiful ladies. That’s right, in addition to hanging out with T3’s Kristanna Loken, TheArnoldFans at last met Terminator actress Linda Hamilton! Although I had met the TX several times before, this was my first time meeting Linda and the male Terminator cast members at the Hollywood Show convention held on Feb 13th and 14th in Los Angeles, CA.

Terminator posters and flyers were all around the Marriott Hotel convention room and every vendor or VIP wore specially created Terminator lanyards. Arnold fan T-p00n took this image.

Fans from all around came out to see this first time “Terminator reunion” with all five guest appearances of Robert Patrick (T-1000), Linda Hamilton (Sarah), Michael Beihn (Kyle), Kristanna Loken(TX) and Edward Furlong(Connor). Not only did I get a chance to speak with them all, but I also had them sign a commemorative poster (only 100 made specially for this convention).

Although hundreds of Terminator and Arnold fans lined up in an hour-plus line to get to meet their favorite heroes or terminators, only about 50 of us were lucky enough to get our photos taken with the cast in the private studio.
In line to wait for my group photo, I overheard a young man sitting next to me who asked another person in line if they were an Arnold fan. Naturally this prompted me to hand him my business card. To my surprise he knew exactly who I was and has been a visitor of The Arnold Fans for many years. We hit it off so well that Arnold fan, Brian, is now a TAFs staff member! Welcome aboard Brian. I look forward to your convention story.
For my group photo, since Arnold could not attend, I decided to be The Terminator in the shot. The Terminator cast loved the fact that I was all dressed the part by wearing my T-800 shades on my head and a licensed jacket. Kristanna was also thrilled to hold the TX endo head prop that I brought her. Linda made sure to look me over for approval and Furlong was making everyone laugh by cracking jokes, making the cast all smile. “Now everyone say TheArnoldFans rules!” SNAP. SNAP. Two pictures were taken.
(Better quality images will be here online later. Here’s ONE badly scanned for now.)

TheArnoldFans also met some other good contacts at the convention including a licensor of T2 and T2-3D merchandise as well as a Stan Winston Studios employee who had his group photo taken with a Terminator head by Stan’s shop. (more on these gentlemen later).

Another cool experience for fans attending was the both by HollywoodParts.com, who had the wardrobe of “Terminator Salvation” on hand for people willing to pay $5.00 to try on the outfits and pose with excellent Terminator weaponry. More on this later.

I met several Arnold fans at the event who will soon be sharing their own stories of this convention of Terminator bliss. For now, we’ll leave you with Dustin Hennick, a fan and artist who not only resembled a young Kyle Reese, but also painted a sweet Terminator piece that he had autographed by three cast members.
