With the TV spots hitting airwaves all over the country and people abuzz in every movie theater nationwide, we at TAFs think it's safe to say that 'The Expendables' is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated films of the year. So anticipated, in fact, that the L.A. Times ran a piece last week about the buzz that is stirring around the film. In it's article, the Times notes that the range of fans interested in 'The Expendables' is far anad wide; men both young and old, and also a good-sized chunk of women, which may surprising to some. It shouldn't be though. When you put that much beefcake on the screen and then give each of them really big guns, you're sure to get the libidos of women all over world pumping. And, of course, what woman could resist the charm, charisma, and good looks of Arnold and Bruce? The Times also opines that this film could be the first of many for Arnie once he laves public office, which is sure to make all of us happy. To read the full article, go HERE!

In other 'Expendables' news, one of Extra's reporters caught up with Sly Stallone recently and asked a questing that has been burning in the minds of TAFs readers for some time: Seeing as how he is still Governor, how was Arnold able to participate in the 'Expendables' project? Answer: Get him up early! Sly told Extra that Arnold was able to work on the film as long as it didn't interfere with his day job and didn't cost the California taxpayers any money. Simple enough. In addition to this revelation, Sly added, "I figured at 4 o'clock in the morning, there's not a lot happening." To read the full interview with Sly and learn about how he came very close to seriously injuring himself on-set, check out the full article HERE!

And finally, in other Arnold related news, it has been revealed that Len Wiseman ("Underworld", "Live Free or Die Hard") has been chosen to direct the reboot of Schwarzenegger's 1990 cult/sci-fi classic 'Totall Recall'. While details surrounding the project are still sketchy, producer Neal Moritz last week gave an interview to comingsoon.net, as did Len himself, telling the website that he has always been a fan of Philip K. Dick's stories (one of which the original Total Recall was based upon) and that he was very excited for the project. For the full scoop, click HERE!

So far, of all the remakes and reboots of Arnold's films, none have ever come close to the magic of the originals. T4 was sad, Predators was decent, Russia's Commando remake was laughable, and the upcoming Conan film is looking to be a flop. We're not sure it's wise to remake the great films. If studios want to improve an Arnold film, have at it with Red Sonja!
