What do the fans want Arnie to make first once he finishes his term as governor? The two obvious choices are TERMINATOR 4 directed by Jonathan Mostow or KING CONAN: CROWN OF IRON with a director yet to be announced. Both franchises are being distributed by the WB so I'm sure a deal can be reached for Schwarzenegger to make both.

Arnold was saying he would make TERMINATOR 4 during his promotional tour for T3. The oak said he'd love to make a Terminator film every 4 or 5 years since he loves that character. TERMINATOR 3 set up sooooo many storyline and possibilities yet to be filled that Arnie is integral to the next chapter. For one, Arnold's T-850 tells John Conner "I killed you" meaning his Terminator assassinates Conner in the future wars. Also, at the end of T3 right before Arnold leaves John and Katherine Brewster to battle the endo skeleton TX, he tells John "we'll meet again."

Now, if the producers weren't to get Arnold for T4, the film wouldn't make continuity sense or logic at all!!! They wrote themselves into a corner when they filmed those scenes and dialogue with Schwarzenegger. So, would it be wise for Arnie to follow T3 with T4 after his term is up in January of 2007? We'll get back to that question!

After recently re-wathcing CONAN THE BARBARIAN and CONAN THE DESTROYER, the WB and film producers must let Arnold either finish off his CONAN trilogy, or write two new Conan films for Arnold where Conan is now King and much older...explaining why Arnie at the ripe young age of 60 can still play him. Although Arnold would have to get jacked up and ripped for the role, being older will be apart of the storyline. Much like the next chapters of INDIANA JONES and ROCKY, those characters are gonna be older.

If the 3rd CONAN film is a BOX-OFFICE SMASH and is the tent pole EVENT film Warner Bros. wants with the Conan property, it "has to star" Arnold Schwarzenegger. I said it before and I'll say it again...there is no one that can match Arnold's charisma in the Conan role! Arnold owns that character much like he owns Terminator!

Over the years, John Milius (original Conan The Barbarian director) and Robert Rodriguez were going to direct at some point, but things happened and either they left or got fired from the project. It now seems that Andy and Larry Wachowski --the Wachowski Brothers as they are known-- are being courted by the WB to direct KING CONAN: CROWN OF IRON a.k.a. CONAN THE CONQUEROR. They were once going to produce and write King Conan under Milius before they left the project to pursue other things. Warner Bros. knows Andy and Larry are cinema gods and fans rush out to see their films (re: The Matrix Trilogy). The next Wachowski BLOCKBUSTER opens March 17th --V FOR VENDETTA.

My source says the Wachoswki Brothers know the CONAN character like the back of their hands and would love a chance to come back to the project. They of course want Schwarzenegger since they know that the CONAN film fans want to see when it hits cinemas. The Brothers have made billions of dollars for the WB with the groundbreaking MATRIX Trilogy and will continue that cash flow with V FOR VENDETTA. They currently have not signed on to their next project, which makes KING CONAN the obvious choice.

My source states "Listen, the Wachowski Brothers are comic book geeks and Conan is a comic book property, Warner Bros. would be stupid not to make a deal with them to direct the next Conan film and get Arnold Schwarzenegger in the mix." He then concluded with "the WB have been very supportive of the Brothers so I'm sure a deal will be made and fans can stop sending Warner Brothers death threats for killing KING CONAN with Arnie."

So, which film should Arnold make first, TERMINATOR 4 or KING CONAN?
According to today's Variety (March 15th), Jonathan Mostow just left the Will Smith project "Tonight, He Comes" as director, but will tackle a project before T4 begins production. However, there is a complete TERMINATOR 4 script for Schwarzenegger to make his return. And regarding KING CONAN a.k.a. CONAN THE CONQUEROR, this is the first film "everyone" wants Arnold to make out of office. It would be a great comeback since Arnie went out on a high with T3's blockbuster success. Andy and Larry Wachowski have nothing planned and the Conan film is dead for right now according to Moriarty of the Aint-It-Cool website.

Like INDINAN JONES 4 coming together so quickly for Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, KING CONAN can easily do the same once Arnie leaves office January 2007 and the WB starts work again with the Brothers Wachowski. KING CONAN can live once again and finally make everyone happy!
