THE TERMINATOR IN THE RIGHT HANDS! Mostow’s mission to keep T3 excellent! Reported By: René de Jong Saturday, February 9, 2002 Jonathan Mostow recently addressed the task of taking on the third Terminator after James Cameron abandoned his cyborg baby. Production on "Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to kick off in 10 weeks. Despite carrying the highest greenlighted budget ever – reportedly in the $170 million range – and even higher expectations, Mostow remains undaunted. "The reaction I've gotten is that audiences want to see this character in a really good story, and we feel we have one," Mostow explained. "I'm most excited about getting to work with Arnold and while there has been all this attention on budgets and special effects, what's important to me is making a movie that is a tribute to this great franchise, and one worthy of being part of the trilogy."
