MILIUS GIVES CONAN THE AXE! Weaponry for the barbarian! Reported By: René de Jong Thursday, August 1, 2002 Ian writes in today to tell TheArnoldFans of a recent John Millius interview with Film Swords Magazine which took place "late winter." FMM: The new film King Conan: Crown of Iron, when will that be out? JM: I have to make another one first --the cop movie starting in June. The people producing Conan 3 are in Australia now, making their own film, and we have to wait until they get back. FMM: In the new Conan will the Atlantean sword be featured again? JM: Yes, that will be his sword. But he's also going to have an axe, and will use that quite a bit. For a Conan axe, of course, he's have to have a Frazetta axe, which would be quite impossible to swing around because of its tremendous size and weight. To be usable, a Frazetta film axe would have have to be made of something lighter than steel -- aluminun, maybe. FMM: Will Arnold be in the movie? JM: Oh, yes -- without a doubt. It was written for him. Its got to be him. Somebody younger will play his son but Arnold is Conan. The story follows him until he's old. Its like, King Lear. So which Arnold blockbuster will follow T3? Arnold says True Lies 2 but will do King Conan if the Tasker crew is not quite ready. Barbarian or super spy, that is the question.
