Hey again TheArnoldFans,

I wanted to follow up yesterday's report with some stuff I couldn't quite put in, and left out because I wanted to get the story out as soon as possible. Also some stuff I just forgot to put in because I was so tired!

Stan Winston was at the convention and I didn't even know about it! I had heard he was discussing T3 on Friday, so I figured I had missed my chance, but when I was wandering around the convention floor looking at all the neat displays that were up, a great, big, shiny Terminator caught my eye from across the room, I had to check it out. And who did I see when I got there? None other than Stan The Man himself, promoting his new line of figures, signing autographs!

All I could think of was how did this get by me with me not knowing it? I must be slipping in my old age! He was only going to be there for 2 hours before he had to go back to making awesome FX for T3, he had been there since 12 and it was nearly 2! Some of the staff members had closed the line down, but I used a Jedi mind trick to sneak a way in towards the back. I had nothing to get signed, I just wanted a chance to meet the man behind the myth! When I got up there, he was VERY friendly, a great guy. I told him that all the Arnold fans from theArnoldFans.com were cheering for him on T3, to which he replied, "Cool man, thanks." And asked if I could just take a picture with him since I had nothing to get signed. He said, "sure!" so I gave him a hearty High-five, much like the Arn-encounter and got our picture taken.

As I left, I told him that he RULES and how excited we all
were for T3. It is a good thing I met him BEFORE I saw the footage, because if I did afterwards, I would have slobbered all over myself trying to speak!

So as if meeting Stan Winston weren't cool enough among a host of other cool people, including Ray Park (Darth Maul), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Lucy Liu (Charlie's Angels) the guy who played Boba Fett in Star Wars amongst many other minor characters from the Star Wars universe and the guy who played the ninja in the horrendous Robocop 3 (LOL even HE thought the movie sucked!) I got to see T3 footage that day as well! There have been a lot of questions posted on TheArnoldFans bored the past day, so I wanted to try to answer them here.

Robert: Can this New Teaser pack enough punch to make a T3-Skeptic change of heart???

Yes. As I mentioned in my repot, I was scared to death that we would see some sort of Jet pack wielding Robocop 3-esque Terminator or Batman and Robin type Dialogue in the footage. Thankfully there was none. It was all GRAVY.

There is no doubt in my mind that this film will is going to be as good a movie that we have seen from Arnold in a LONG time. And when I say that, I mean the first 2 Terminator movies!

I wish Arnold would have said something else at the end of the trailer...that would make an impact and a GOOD lasting impression on viewers.

Robert, If you had seen this trailer, there is NO WAY they could have finished it off any better. That part will be iconic, etched into our minds for years to come. Ending it with "I'll Be Back" would have been cliche and predictable. I cannot think of anything better that could have ended the footage except for maybe an epic shot of the TX doing her stuff, but that has not yet been completed.

Eraser01: I would still like to know about the directorial style, though - any takers?

The directing style is different from Cameron's. This movie has a look all it's own. From what I can tell, it looks as If Mostow has kept the big epic feel from T2, but has maintained some of the grittiness that I liked so much from T1. It looks like he has blended the 2 together perfectly. Mostow will be an A-List director after this picture.

Ian dredd thorsen: I'd like to hear what type of scene DB thought the line was from.

I would say the infamous desire line looks like it is about midway through the movie-near the end. Arn is limping a bit, but he doesn't have SO much damage to his face it doesn't quite look like a last stand, a lot more can be done, and I presume that it will. As far as WHO he is attacking, I am not sure, if memory serves correctly, he is walking away from John, but it is a bit hazy to me. I was focusing more on Arnold's face, and look. VERY dramatic! I cannot wait to see how it fits into the movie.

What I failed to mention is the last report was Arnold did a little Q and A afterwards with the audience, wearing his usual business suit. These were always fun seeing the stars interact with the audience in all the presentations. One fan asked:

"How will T3 deal with the paradox of John still being alive, even though the future has changed? Shouldn't he not exist anymore since his father was from the future?"

Arnold replied, saying that he could not explain right there, but he said that the film WILL EXPLAIN IT.

Schwarzenegger also said in that he was excited about doing another terminator movie, working out 2 hours a day again to get into shape, because he wants to make sure he looks just as good, if not BETTER than he did in T2, because he wants to look muscular during his nude scene at the beginning. So the terminator WILL arrive naked (as TheArnoldFans mentioned earlier).

And to cap the day off, the WB gave out promotional items to sell their new movies, one of these items was an exclusive Terminator 3 hat! I got 2, I am keeping one for myself and plan on putting the other one on the market soon, when I get some pictures.

After the footage screened, the crowd went nuts, and when Arnold and Mostow left, they gave them all another standing ovation!
