WILL FANS GET AN OFFICIAL ARNOLD FANCLUB? We need your boots, your name and email! Reported By: Randy Jennings Thursday, August 8, 2002 Now here comes the big surprise! On Friday, July 26th, TheArnoldFans.com was invited to Arnold's place of business, Oak Productions, to discuss an issue for the fans. The main topic during our meeting: the STRONG possibility of the world's first official Arnold FANCLUB - hosted by yours truly at TheArnoldFans.com! Once in Santa Monica, Ca, I first met with two of Arnold's business representative downstairs at The Oak's favorite restaurant Schatzi on Main. Soon we were on our way up taking an elevator to the third floor. As the elevator doors opened, about a dozen large Arnold movie posters greeted visitors who strolled into Oak Productions' Main Street Advisors. Here I met with Arnold's business manager as we began our meeting. We sat at the roundtable and discussed, among many Arnold stories, the possibility to get Arnold's official Fanclub underway. The pitch: Not one Schwarzenegger fansite is more deserving, professional, capable and dedicated to Arnold and his universe than us. Ballsy maybe, but true right? This was backed-up by another admirer of our work in the room who remains impressed every time he visits. Arnold's manager, after hearing us out and after my explanation that a large portion of the proceeds would go to The Inner-City Games, believed this fanclub COULD be achieved and that TheArnoldFans.com should be the organization to run it... if Arnold doesn't mind having one. So bottom line: we need the fans to speak up and support a fanclub. If you really want one, we need emails and names to prove to Arnold the demand of the one thing we have always stayed hungry for. Soon we will have all the information as to what members will get (such as T-shirts, magazines with interviews and more). Yes, we are also aiming for an international fanclub and not just regional.
