TAFs EXCLUSIVE: Q&A WITH T3's ALANA CURRY! Alana's first time: T3 interview that is! Reported By: Randy Jennings Friday, August 16, 2002 Not only is the story of T3: Rise of the Machines completely shrouded in mystery but so is much of the new cast. Take Alana Curry for instance. Who? Well her name might not be big now, but just wait until this beautiful and charming young actress delivers the goods on July 2nd, 2003. That's when the machines will rise - and so will Alana's stardom. TheArnoldFans.com just had the opportunity to interview Alana and she was very excited to talk about her Terminator involvement. INTRO: TAFs: Alana, Congratulations on your "T3" role. Get ready for greatness as you're going to gain MANY fans - especially from our Terminator fanatics. I'll understand if you can't mention anything about T3's plot; in fact, I do not want to know plot twists. I WANT to be surprised. I'd mainly like to know about you and your involvement on T3.
Alana Curry: I play the girlfriend of Bill Anderson (played by Brian Sites). We're teenagers having a party & I can't really say what happens but we do have a bad encounter with the Terminatrix. You'll just have to see the movie to see what happens to us. TAFs: How physically challenging was your role? Were you doing serious training? AC: Hmmm, Well during one of my scenes I spend the majority of my time sitting on a couch. If that's not physically challenging, I don't know what is ... I'm just kidding, my role was more emotional than physical. I got to cry and scream a lot. The only other big challenge was staying awake. We worked nights and sometimes I shot 6:00pm to 6:00am in the morning! TAFs: Do you have scenes interacting WITH Arnold? AC: No, unfortunatly, he wasn't even there when I shot my scenes. But if he was I would have told him to "Get Down" or "Come with me if you want to live". I hear from everybody else on the set that he is just the nicest man! I hope to meet him in the future, maybe at the premiere or wrap party. TAFs: I don't want to know the outcome, BUT Do you interact with other Terminator ROBOTS - other than Arnold? AC: We do have a scene with the TX. Although I can't really tell you more than that. See I signed all these secrecy papers, and well... they have WAY better lawyers than I do! TAFs: How did you like working with the cast and the director Jonathan Mostow? AC: Oh, everyone was awesome. The crew and cast were great. Jonathan is really going to make this film incredible. He is very patient, a real actors' director. I had a blast with them all. TAFs: How much screen time do you imagine you will have? AC: You never really know what's gonna happen once it hits the editing room. When I was on set, Jonathan played back the two scenes I was in, they look good so far. TAFs: I'd imagine your fans and demand will skyrocket after T3. Do you have other projects lined-up next? AC: I have a couple other projects that I am involved with. Among them, a feature film about time travel called "Time Changer" that'll be in theatres this October 25th. I also have a part in the pilot episode of "Robbery Homicide Division" (RHD/LA), which is a new crime drama starring Tom Sizemore this fall on CBS. You can find out more about these and future projects on my website http://www.AlanaCurry.com. TAFs: Any mentionable stunts you performed? AC: No, I didn't have any, but that's not to say they weren't being performed all around me at times. i will say this, I did have to wear earplugs for protection and between all the screaming, crying and gunshots a bullet shell hit my foot. Does that count? Hee Hee.
AC: I filmed my scenes early on in the beginning of the shooting schedule. I hope to just see everyone again at the wrap party. TAFs: Were you able to walk away with any props or keepsakes to remember your T3 experience? AC: Only my memories and a couple of pictures. I was a really fun experience, I can't wait to see the finished product! TAFs: Are you an Arnold fan at all...or what's your favorite Arnold movie? AC: Of course I'm a fan of Arnolds! He's got so many good movies, I like T2 and Eraser a lot, but if I had to pick just one I think i'd say Kindergarten Cop. I guess I'm just a kid at heart. Thank you Alana! Now everyone here at TheArnoldFans knows how cool you are. We all look forward to your T3 performance on July 2, 2003.
