2002 has been a big year to remember for Arnold’s career. With more than 300 news articles reported here, TheArnoldFans.com was almost as busy as Arnold. In 2002 Collateral Damage was released in theaters, Terminator 3 began filming, Proposition 49 passed and King Conan became hot once more!

Let’s bring you back to the news-highlights of the year 2002.

In January...

Everyone's favorite Hummer owner, Arnold Schwarzenegger unveiled the 2003 Hummer “H2” model at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Friday, Jan. 4, 2002.

The Running Man got his own run. Sun Valley Resort renamed a ski run "Arnold's Run" after muscleman and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who owns a home nearby.

It's reported that director Michael Bay says he hopes to resurrect "I Am Legend" with Will Smith. Arnold Schwarzenegger is in talks to produce the film.

In February...

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Collateral Damage still managed to win the gold medal #1 spot (with $15.2M) - beating out the other competitors such as "Big Fat Liar", winning the silver, and the pathetic "Rollerball", coming in to accept the bronze, although the Winter Olympics took a huge bite out of this weekend's box office earnings.

Arnold visited the U.S. troops in Bosnia and showed his support!

Variety reports that 22-year-old actress Kristanna Loken will be the Terminatrix who goes up against Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines."

In March...

Arnold commissioned artist Robert Berks to create a heroic-sized bronze bust of Ronald Reagan as a tribute to the former President. The bust remains at the Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif.

Variety confirmed Nick Stahl was officially cast the part of a young twenty-something John Conner to star beside Arnold Schwarzenegger in T3: Rise of Machines.

In April...

Eleven years after the last T-800 was lowered to his termination in T2, Arnold Schwarzenegger is finally back reprising his most famous role - The Terminator! Cameras officially started rolling on Monday, April 8th.

On Wednesday, April 24, TheArnoldFans and Schwarzenegger.com received the world premiere exclusive photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his role as the Terminator.

In May...

Arnold Schwarzenegger opened the 2002 World Stunt Awards in Santa Monica, CA.

In June...

Arnold received yet another Doctor of Humane Letters from Chapman University in Orange, California, recognizing his work on behalf of such causes as the Special Olympics and the Inner-City Games Foundation.

In July...

The machines were fast on the rise and there was nothing we could do to stop the relentless killing machines from conquering our computers. Apple.com has unleashed the first teaser trailer to next summer's ultimate thrill ride!

Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated his 55th birthday with his closest friends at his Santa Monica restaurant Schatzi on Main!

Collateral Damage DVD released on Arnold’s birthday: July 30th, 2002.

In August...

TheArnoldFans was invited inside Arnold's Santa Monica office building, Oak Productions, on July 26, 2002. It was here we discussed the possible reality of bringing the fans the first-ever Arnold fanclub.

Gentle Giant Studios not only recently picked up some cool licensing for WB's "The Matrix Reloaded" but T3: Rise of the Machines rights has also been acquired.

In September...

Arnold and Maria celebrated their 25th Anniversary of having met. They have been married 17 years now!

Thanks to our friends at Warner Bros, TheArnoldfans.com was invited to the second online press set visit to T3: Rise of the Machines: Bathroom Brawl!

T3: Rise of the Machines wrapped principal photography with a late AM shoot. Filmed on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills involved what may be the best scene: The TX's arrival! Arnold Schwarzenegger's last day of filming was said to be a big fight scene with the TX and finished on Friday, September 6th. Mostow said the five month shoot finished right on schedule.

Citizens for After School Programs / Yes on Proposition 49 began airing television ads Tuesday across the state. The ads promote Proposition 49 on November’s ballot, the initiative that will provide grants to schools to create after school programs that keep kids safe, provide recreational opportunities, and educational enrichment.

In October...

Gamespot.com reports Paradox Entertainment has acquired 20 percent of Conan Sales Company, which holds all rights to the Conan franchise made famous by the Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer movies of the '80s and the Conan television series of the '90s.

Arnold was heavily promoting. First he was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to push Pumping Iron and then onto MSNBC’s Hardball to discuss politics!

In November...

On Tuesday, November 12th, Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver attended the New York premiere and after-party for the 25th anniversary of Pumping Iron!

Proposition 49, the initiative for keeping children safe, out of crime and away from drugs, passed and Arnold couldn't be happier!

In December...

The "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines" trailer was released on December 18th!

The Hollywood Reporter tells us Schwarzenegger and Cedric the Entertainer are in early talks to star in Intermedia Films' Joe's Last Chance for director Andrew Bergman and Outlaw Productions.
