ARNOLD RECLAIMS HIS IMAGE: NO CLONES!
Schwarzenegger Vs. Martin Motor Co.

Arnold Schwarzenegger just filed a lawsuit against car dealership Fred Martin Motor Company and its advertising agency Zimmerman & Partners Advertising, Inc. for using The Austrian Oak's name and photograph in a full-page newspaper advertisement. This iconic Arnold image was used for the car dealership, without his permission or consent. That's a "BIG MISTAKE" to make money off of our Arnold!

As we all know from previous suits, Schwarzenegger exercises careful control over any commercial uses of his image and generally does not permit his name or image to be used for commercial purposes, out of his movies. More than that, Arnold would never allow his name and image to be used for a product or service he knows nothing about.

The lawsuit, filed in the Santa Monica branch of the Los Angeles Superior Court, contains causes of action for violation of his right of publicity, violation of California Civil Code 3344, Unfair Competition and related claims. General damages of $20,000,000, as well as punitive damages, are sought in the lawsuit.

Schwarzenegger is represented by Lavely & Singer Professional Corporation in Los Angeles, California. Go get 'em boys!
