RELAX, YOUR TV HAS BEEN ERASED! "Eraser" remake on Kopelson slate! Reported By: The Hollywood Reporter Thursday, October 3, 2002 The Hollywood Reporter: "Eraser" is poised to resurface as a USA Network drama pilot for Oscar-winning producers Arnold and Anne Kopelson and Warner Bros. Television. USA Network is in talks with the studio to develop a loose adaptation of the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger actioner, which the Kopelsons produced for Warners. Arnold Kopelson said the TV version would be based on "some aspects of the federal witness protection program," as explored in the feature, but would not be strictly modeled after the characters in the movie. The Kopelsons' TV arm had been based at Warner Bros., but as that overall deal wound down, the company has been operating in recent months as a free agent. Now, Kopelson said, they're mulling options for a new studio or network alignment. ---------- ![]() |
