"PUMPING IRON": 25TH ANNIVERSARY ON CINEMAX! One month to go for new "Iron" footage! Reported By: Randy Jennings Thursday, October 10, 2002 For years we've been hearing the rumors that a special edition of Pumping Iron would air on HBO. Finally we can celebrate as HBO's partner cable network - Cinemax will air this bodybuilding version of the holy grail next month! "Hi TheArnoldFans, I haven't seen this on your site yet, but I saw a promo on Cinemax for the updated "Pumping Iron" this morning. Arnold said it is on in November and a quick check of Cinemax's website shows Pumping Iron will air on Nov. 15 at 8 PM Eastern! Just thought you guys ought to know, I know everyone will be excited to hear this. It's been a long time coming." This update of the 1977 documentary goes beyond the sport of men's bodybuilding from the perspective of a young Arnold Schwarzenegger as he trains to win another Mr. Olympia contest. The new running time almost doubles that of the theatrical 70s release. Get ready for new footage of the bodybuilders today reflecting back. Yes, and Arnold galore! In other "Pumping Iron" rumor news, look forward to this special edition to come out on DVD in December or early 2003. 2003 is "the rise of muscles"! Time: 1 hr and 45 mins.
