ARNOLD PLAYS "ROBOT" FOR LIFE?
Another film rumor in the works!

TheArnoldFans.com got a tip from a Sydney fan who tells us his newspaper ran a story claiming Arnold is considering playing a new robotic role. Does TheArnoldFans believe this rumor for a second? Hell no! Do we believe the source got their info mixed up with that of "WestWorld"? Exactly!

Trust us, Arnold isn't going to do so many robotic roles that would typecast his image for good. Arnold is one smart business man and he knows "what's best in life" and what's best for his career at this point. Expect "King Conan" or "True Lies 2" to follow "T3"! Read the Sun Herald's rumor below!

"Hi TheArnoldFans,

I hadn't seen this on your site and thought you may be interested. Sorry It's a bit late. I found this piece in the Sun Herald (a weekend newspaper based in Sydney, Australia), dated October 20, 2002 under the title, "Big Arnie here to play a robot".

"Arnold Schwarzenegger is considering working on a feature film in Australia, and may be in Sydney by the end of the year.

Schwarzenegger is being wooed by Sydney director Alex Proyas for the lead role in his sci-fi feature film, I, Robot.

The Hollywood heavyweight is particularly adept at playing robotic characters, as the smash-hit Terminator series proves.

It seems unlikely he would be interested in Proyas's film after only completing filming for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in the US last month.

But industry insiders close to Proyas's project are adamant Schwarzenegger is seriously considering the robot movie. "Don't be surprised if he's out here later this year," said one. "They're trying to keep his involvement secret but they're negotiating with him about the role."

Proyas, who directed Garage Days, will base I,Robot on stories written by Isaac Asimov.

The film is in pre-production at Fox Studios, Moore Park, with filming expected to begin in December. Proyas's project is expected to fill the end-of-year schedule at Fox Studios before George Lucas and cast arrive for the third Star Wars prequel.

Apart from the launch of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines next year, Schwarzenegger is expected to film a sequel to True Lies alongside co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold, but the project has not been confirmed."

Thanks to David for the tip!
