ARNOLD: THE NEW KING OF ALL MEDIA! Is there possible Arnold overload? Reported By: TheARNOLDFANS.com Staff Wednesday, August 13, 2003 Considering the amount of headlines Arnold has been making over the last week, you'd think he just saved the world. Well, Arnold at least plans to save California and the Americans are loving his patriotic enthusiasm. On every news channel and entertainment network, Arnold can be found! He's even on the biggest national tabloids including Newsweek and TIME. So what's new in Governor Arnold news? We've got all kinds of fans writing in. Let's begin. Willy Long supports The Oak: I am also from Germany (born in Nazi prison camp) and my father joined the German Army out of prison to get my Mother and I some food and medical treatment. He died on the retreat from Russia (they sent him to the Russian front of course). I later got to this country (USA) by being adopted, and was naturalized in 1957 when I was 12 (twelve). I also love this country and have been successful (no movies or anything) in my own right. I was born Willy Arthur Jaunas Van Thienen - I'm the last Van Thienen. My name was changed to Long when I was adopted. My wife and I are Nurses and work on an Indian Reservation in Airizona. We just love it. I wish I lived in California so I could be more supportive (at least vote) for my Lundsman (Herr Arnold). I'm encouraging everyone I know in California to support Arnold. I have enjoyed every movie of his and wish him and his family the very best. Arnold fan Steve wants Arnold for more movies: I'm all for Arnold runnin' for governor, I mean i live in Canada and if i had the opportunity i would sign! But what about his commitment to his fans!!! King Conan, T4, True Lies 2 - Forget Jamie Lee, Westworld or even Crusade - i wouldn't mind seeing Arnold as a knight in medievel times. Maybe you guys should have a petition where fans can put their input to make these films and send them to Arnold. If he sees the reaction to make these films, maybe he may change his mind. It's not like he's in terrible shape. Harrison is 60 and he is doing Indiana Jones 4. Like the King Conan Petition. Aldo Perdomo supports the Governator! Dear Arnold, Way to go! I wish you lots of luck in the recall elections and hope you make it all the way to Sacramento. One big thing you have going for you is precisely that many people underestimate you. This gives you a psychological advantage. They're not reckoning with your discipline and drive, nor are they taking into account your Kennedy Clan connections and all the political advice you'll get from them and your wife Maria. Also, I think people trust you way more than they do the average politician. Do what you personally believe is right and not what any political party wants for itself and you'll be more popular and more honest than 99.9% of the other politicians. Also, as an immigrant, you can see things most Americans overlook. I know from my own experience and from listening to my father. Lastly, always remember the moms and dads and the working American taxpayers and you can't go wrong. Good luck! P.S. The only bad thing about your running for Governor is that you won't have time to do Conan the King. Aw, heck. Paul let's off some steam: Oh man. I can't believe Arnold is running for governor. He's just got himself back on top and now it looks like he will walk away from his movie career and his fans. As much as I wish him every success in his political aspirations, I just wish he would leave it a few more years. After looking forward to T3 for so long and knowing that it would make Arnold big once more, I am now totally deflated at the thought that it may be his last movie. Especially with the way it ended, there just has to be a T4. Has to be. We can't be left on such a cliffhanger. And what about Conan and Westworld? All projects that Arnold has confirmed his involvement in. Whats the deal? Is he just going to forget about them? I'm going to the gym now to burn off my frustration at all this! I really hope we don't lose Arnie to politics. Not just yet. Elisabeth Thaller writes: I am very happy to hear that Arnold decided to run for Governor of California. I trust that he will do a great job. I am Austrian and also emigrated from my country at a young age. Arnold grew up in the town where my grandparents used to live, and I enjoyed to listen to their "Arnold"-stories. My mother, whenever she visited me in other countries and people asked her where she came from, she used to say "Austria- the country of Mozart". But since a couple of years ago, she would change the description of our most beautiful country and say instead: "Austria - the country of Arnold Schwarzenegger". Isn´t that great? Arnold replacing Mozart. It takes quite some personality to achieve such fame. As a recent immigrant to the USA I know now what great country this is, but at the same time how hard it is to start up. I truly admire Arnold for all his achievements, his family and his help to the community. How about the kids? What do they think of a Governator? Scott Ferris writes: Hi, I guess everyone knows by now Arnold is running for CA governor. That is very good news for skaters and bikers. Arnold is for the kids, has his own afterschool programs in Los Angeles and he added skateparks to 3 of his schools last year after we did a demo at a "Lights On" campaign at Gratts elementary school. And that is not all.. Arnold co - founded the Inner City Games with Danny Hernandez 10 years ago and it has spread to 15 cities nationwide. Here is the best part. This is the first year they have included Skateboard and BMX events and competitions. SPAUSA is producing both those events this weekend at Hollywood Sports park in Bellflower. Cromulas writes: I don't want him to run for office now, not until 2006, nor do i care for him abandoning "King Conan" and his fans the way he did! Ken, Debbie and Jennifer Lundemo write: As a resident of San Diego for over 40 years, I have seen Governor Davis ruin the state for the last two years by his mismanagement of the budget. My daughter just graduated from college with a degree in elementary education, but cannot find a job here because of Davis' education cuts. I know you wish Arnold Schwarzenegger would concentrate on making more movies, but as one Californian, I sincerely wish he would run for Governor. I truly believe he would do so much for us. He is not a 'career politician' and would owe no favors to any big businesses or other politicians. The State of California would only benefit from his leadership. As an aside, if Governor Davis is not recalled, or if another democrat is elected, we plan to move out of California. My home for over 40 years. A terrible decision to have to make but a necessary one to survive. Finally, Bob Chandra gives us a great new website for Arnold supporters! As you might know, Arnold Schwarzenegger is running for Governor of California. Right now, he's doing well in the polls but needs all the help he can get. I want to know if your site, being a pro-Arnold website, would be willing to link to our independent, grassroots website which is promoting Arnold's candidacy. Because time is short (there are under 60 days until Election Day), we are trying to get true supporters of Arnold to feature a pop-under that would launch the ArnoldGovernor.net site so as many people as possible can learn about what Schwarzenegger has to offer as California's next governor. An example of one such site that is doing this is: http://kristanna-loken.trexcatnip.com/. We can provide the pop-under JavaScript if you need it. If a pop-under is not doable, please feel free to write a review of ArnoldGovernor.net and include a link to us on your site. It's important that Arnold supporters spread the word as much as possible. Grassroots will play an important role in getting Arnold elected. On October 7, Arnold is set to shock the nation with his ascension to governor of California. If you can help that would be great. ArnoldGovernor.net - www.ArnoldGovernor.net ----------
