VERHOEVEN DROPS "RECALL" FOR "CRUSADE"? Verhoeven rumors on our bookshelves! Reported By: René de Jong Sunday, January 19, 2003 There's a new rumor going around that Paul Verhoeven, director of Total Recall, is still considering reuniting with Arnold and producers Kassar and Vajna to bring us the epic "Crusade"! Apparently the fans' voices have been heard to leave the masterpiece Total Recall alone - since it has the perfect ending as is and we would rather have King Conan or Crusades as T3's follow-up film! The latest story comes to us from our buddy Mark, also known as the internet's A.B.King: TheArnoldFans, I forgot the name of the magazine because the news tidbit was in small caps and the mag was not a very popular one, but I read in one of those foreign sci-fi magazines on the mall that Paul Verhoeven was still very up for directing CRUSADE for Arnold, Kassar and Vajna, but wouldn't be doing TOTAL RECALL 2 like reported. I don't know how much of this is fact from fiction? Mark Mark also said the article claimed Verhoeven was asked by his old producer buddies Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna to direct the next installment of Arnie's mega franchise...TERMINATOR 4! TheArnoldFans hears from one of our inside sources that "due to Mostow's fantastic job with T3 he has certainly been asked to come back for T4 if the fans want him to.
