ARNOLD TO STAR IN WESTWORLD BEFORE CONAN? "T3" writers are back for "Westworld" remake! Reported By: TheARNOLDFANS.com Staff Tuesday, June 3, 2003 When Arnold last spoke to TheArnoldFans last month, we discussed the possibility that the big-budget "Westworld" remake could be Arnold's follow-up film to "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines"! Now, Variety reports the following: "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" writers Michael Ferris and John Brancato are re-teaming for Arnold Schwarzenegger for his next movie. The duo will write the ultimate adaptation of "Westworld," the Warner Bros. remake that will be produced by Jerry Weintraub and Arnold. This writing duo is very hot right now and Hollywood is hearing the buzz! They got sole script credit for "T3" and shared story credit with Tedi Sarafian. WB liked Michael Ferris and John Brancato enough to bring them back for this BIG Schwarzenegger epic. Scrapping the earlier 2001 script to make the hero's role more dynamic, the studio hopes they can write a new version fast enough to make "Westworld" the next film for Schwarzenegger. Will Arnold be playing the Yul Brynner role of the robotic gunfighting Terminator? No, Schwarzenegger instead is making the wise decision to play the vacation guest hero. I know, I know, we all want "King Conan" NEXT but I believe we will still get both movies before Arnold takes a political leave. If Arnold is in office in 2006, we still have some time to squeeze out two big films. TheArnoldFans has been informed by someone at WB that he wants to save King Conan to be his last epic film before he leaves acting. Why? He KNOWS this is what his fans want most and he will go out with the ultimate barbarian bang! However, it really depends on the Wachowski brothers. If they are ready to go, Conan can now move forward. If they are not, it will be Westworld (109 minutes... joking)! Both upcoming Arnold films will deliver! Westworld equals wild entertainment and breath-taking effects. Conan equals an epic masterpiece deserving of academy awards. Whichever comes first... either way, Schwarzenegger fans win! ---------- ![]() |
