Arnold Schwarzenegger, currently at The Cannes Film Festival, is getting a big workout as he puts in all of his energy overseas to promoting one of this years hottest films: "T3: Rise of the Machines"!

The T3 theme dominated the front of the ritzy Carlton Hotel. As reported earlier by TheArnoldfans, a few models of endoskeletons, the TX and other cyborgs created a fantastic backdrop for the Terminator with the microphone.


Kristanna Loken was in attendance at one of the hottest parties of Cannes this year, as the T3 crew, including Claire Danes, Nick Stahl, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger were on hand for a gathering on the Budweiser yacht.


Arnold touched on his film career and his will to make more great movies before giving into his political ambitions. "Is this my last Terminator? No. I've so many more years left," he said. "I'm totally full of energy and thanks to my weight training and cardio-vascular training, I'm in great shape... I consider this the middle term of my career."

Arnold urged fans: "Go out and see the movie. The more successful the movie is, the faster we can make Terminator 4."

Schwarzenegger promised the crowd the movie would deliver the ''best visual effects you've ever seen in your life, and incredible stunts.''

Arnold had one last great comment to say about the movie we are all so eagerly anticipating: "...but I think Terminator 3 is the greatest of all the Terminators."

The only actual footage from the film was a seven-minute reel of clips shown to journalists.

Terminator 3 director Jonathan Mostow said the full movie was not ready in time for Cannes and that he and his collaborators decided against showing more than just a few minutes of footage.

"You can take a crummy movie and cut together a great 20-minute product reel, but people are wise to that," Mostow said. "The fact is, we believe we've made a movie that works. We believe we don't really need to try to trick anybody. We believe that people are going to come on opening weekend and like what they see."

The footage shown at Cannes included several action scenes, including a wildly destructive car, truck and motorcycle chase and a battle in a restroom in which Schwarzenegger and a female killing machine (Kristanna Loken) duke it out with porcelain fixtures.

And what of Arnold's rock hard T3 physic?

"The big thing was starting my training again," began Arnold. "When you turn up from the future naked, you need to have the same body that you did before to prove that you¹re from the same mould and are the same robot... So the pressure was on to achieve the same body I had 11 years ago. Luckily, on set I got enough time to train during lunchtime because it's very important for me to train twice a day. I used the hour to work out in an exercise trailer."
