AMC CALLING FANS & A&E ARNOLD MOVIE! "Movies at Our House" wants you! Reported By: TheARNOLDFANS.com Staff Friday, October 10, 2003 First of all, let's clear up any confusion about TheArnoldFans.com and our commitment to the future of this site. We have had many people email us wondering if we will continue this site now that Arnold is going into the world of politics. Although we will not do daily reports on political talk (we leave that to JoinArnold.com), we WILL however always be here for the fans. As long as there are Arnold fans out in the world who want to share Arnold stories, there will be a TAFs.com! With that said, one would wonder where we plan to get all of our news if we're leaving the majority of political talk to his Governor site. Well, there will ALWAYS be other Arnold scoops and there will always be the fans who have stories to share. To prove our point, just look at all this news below! First up, the AMC Channel is searching for Terminator fans out of the LA area! If interested, email Randy HERE! Hi TAFs, I am casting "Terminator" (1) fans for an AMC Channel show called, "Movies at our House". These fans will comment on the classic movie each time we go to commercial. It's a great fun experience. I need to speak with a few local (Los Angeles) fans ASAP. Thank you! JoAnn Schoemann, Casting Director Next, in a non-related story to the Arnold documentary movie, A&E Orders an Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie! A&E Network said it's writing a script for "See Arnold Run," a TV movie that will focus on the action star's campaign for California governor and his 1973 quest to become Mr. Olympia. Production will begin in the spring, and A&E hopes to have it on the air about the time of the national conventions late next summer. So far, no one has been cast in the starring role, network spokesman Michael Feeney said Thursday. A&E says the movie will "be an exploration of Arnold the public figure versus Arnold the private man, told through a blend of drama, comedy and satire." Next up, AB King informs us that Will Smith is AGAIN after Arnold's left-over movie scraps! ET said that Will Smith was now offered BIG SIR since Arnie is Governor? Jay Leno news! Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a surprise visit to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," where he poked fun at the late-night host for appearing bored during his victory speech. In a walk-on during Leno's monologue Wednesday, California's governor-elect showed a clip of the host checking his watch after introducing Schwarzenegger at a celebration the previous night. "You looked at your watch. I cannot believe it," Schwarzenegger joked, as Leno fumbled with an excuse. "Just remember, never call me, and I'm going to check right away your tax returns when I get up to Sacramento." Celebrity news! What do movie stars think of the Governator? Yaphet Kotto: "If Arnold served as governor and did his thing, then if he decided to go back to Hollywood, I think he would be welcomed with open arms in the community," said Yaphet Kotto, who co-starred with Schwarzenegger in 1987's "The Running Man". "He's such a competitor, he could go right from politics to making movies". Jamie Lee Curtis: Curtis, 44, said she voted against the recall, but voted for Arnie in case the recall was approved. "He's gonna surprise a lot of people", said Curtis, who co-starred with Schwarzenegger in the 1994 hit 'True Lies'. "He has the depth and scope. And with (wife) Maria (Shriver) by his side, I think he'll surprise many people". ----------
