JOHN MILIUS TALKS "KING CONAN"!
Conan moves forward without Arnold!

Now that Arnold is stepping away from films for a few years (maybe longer), we can expect to give a few sad farewells to the film projects Schwarzenegger was once attached to such as T4. But the saddest role to have Arnold walk away from is that of reprising Conan, the very role which gave birth to his movie star career. For longer than a year now, Arnold had promoted “King Conan: Crown of Iron” as his next film and told TheArnoldFans that he would work out 3 hours a day to get his body back in prime Conan shape. Well, we all know the rest of that story.

Fast-forward a couple of days later, after Arnold won his title of Mr. Governor Universe, King Conan moves forward. Arnold fans are crushed that there will be a new Conan actor but they are blaming the wrong person. Do not blame Milius or WB, for wanting to move forward. Arnold was the one who decided to play a bigger role by helping millions of people in a more serious situation. Arnold felt the need to be a REAL hero so he said YES to Governor and NO to Conan.

John Milius, who wrote one hell of an epic barbarian film script, is forced to move on. The Milius camp at last gets back to TheArnoldFans to shed some light on King Conan.

While I was talking to our friendly rep, Milius was downstairs at the moment having a business meeting with the senior vice president of WB regarding King Conan. But we will get plenty more answers in the next couple of days because John Milius will be doing a NPR radio interview this Wednesday. We will do our best to warn you what time he will be on but if we get a last minute warning, we may post the news in our message boards. Milius is said to speak about King Conan, TAFs’ Conan petition and to speak of his buddy Arnold.

There are no hard feelings. Although Arnold needed to walk away from the project, Milius understands Arnold's decision and knows he will make a great Governor. One hour after Arnold announced his decision to run on the Jay Leno Show, Arnold phoned Milius and said he was sorry that King Conan would not happen. Once again, Milius was invited over to the Schwarzenegger's for dinner. Despite the project collapsing, the two remain good friends.

So now Milius needs to find a replacement. I asked about Ralf Moeller, TV's Conan. Apparently they like the guy for his size but instead think the wrestler “Triple H” MIGHT be a better and grittier fit. They also like his acting and believe he is the perfect age to show the transition from a younger Conan (flashbacks) and could also play the gray-bearded Conan.

Milius and Triple H are getting along great already. The two are working on a new kick-ass action movie called "Journey of the Deadman".

On a final note, we suggested where Arnold’s cameo MUST go and they LOVED the suggestion. If any of you had read the script like us, you know exactly the role Arnold NEEDS to play: the ultimate “passing-of-the-torch” role!

Milius is anxious to get the project going again and to continue the Conan mythology of kings, wizards and women of the finest stalk. He wants to film in Turkey and Ron Cobb and Basil Poledouris are anxious also to return. Make us proud Milius! Make Arnold proud!
