GOVINATOR ON FRIDAY'S LENO & MUCH MORE! A Vegas premiere for Schwarzenegger! Reported By: TheARNOLDFANS.com Staff Thursday, August 5, 2003 Set the VCRs! California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear on NBC's "Tonight Show" this Friday, a year after announcing his candidacy to Jay Leno. Schwarzenegger is coming off signing his first state budget and continues to be popular among the state's voters. Whatever Schwarzenegger has to say Friday, it likely won't be as big a surprise as his announcement a year ago. Don't be expecting any movie talk at this time although our inside sources tell us there will not be a second term for the Govinator. Just what has the California Governor been up to you ask? With the glitz of a Hollywood premiere, Governor Schwarzenegger launched a national campaign yesterday to steer jobs to his state. After exiting his giant Arnold truck, he made his way to a cavernous mall on the Las Vegas Strip. The Oak emerged from a cloud of smoke as rock music blared, striding along a catwalk in a beige suit while hundreds of shoppers cheered. ![]() Behind him on three huge video screens, a new billboard that will be the icon of the campaign was projected. It featured the tanned governor wearing a T-shirt and the slogan, "Arnold says California wants your business." Schwarzenegger says that although California has had troubles, "All of that is now changing," and the state "is the place you want to do business." ---------- |
