AN AVALANCHE OF ARNOLD NEWS! DVDs, Aliens, Predators and more! Reported By: Randy Jennings and Ulf Kristensson Friday, January 30, 2004 Due to the fact that TheArnoldFans will be on a snowboarding trip for the next few days, we thought we better get caught up and just give you a big avalanche of news stories all at once. Get ready, it's coming down at you now! First up, we have STAY HUNGRY on DVD soon! "Milkgreg" tells us DVDFile.com reports: Due on May 18th is yet another title that seems to have been rushed to market to capitalize on Governor Schwarzenegger, Stay Hungry. This Bob Rafelson favorite includes a remastered 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby mono track, audio commentary with Rafelson and stars Jeff Bridges and Sally Field and the theatrical trailer. Retail will be a cheapie $14.95. Next, "Darth Vader" has Arnold in Aliens rumors! Hey Tafs, I was checking out planet avp.com and found this suprising report it says: Hotdog Magazine Reports, He's essentially ruled out starring roles for a few years, but current Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger says he'd still be up for a supporting role or cameo in a film here and there. One such offer on the table is for the forthcoming Alien 5, in which Schwarzenegger would appear at the film's beginning, playing a space-age marine who clears the way for Earth-bound Ripley. Funnily enough, Arnie was suggested for a similar part in Alien 3, but didn't have the time. "Scottzenegger" has Arnold Predator news. Robert Rodriguez did an in-depth interview with Moviehole this week. How about "Predator 3", is it still in development? "Oh, "Predators", yes we're the "Predator 3", it's call "Predators". It was back when I was doing "Desperado". I wrote "Desperado", it was going to get made like end of September, and then "Last Action Hero" bombed, so they said we're not making any movies for a year, like next year. So I was like what am I going to do until then? So I took a writing assignment, and one of the writing assignments that was out was "Predator" sequel. "So I said, yes I'll write a version of that. And it was just -- it was just crazy, it was huge, it was a big, big, big budget. Because I didn't have to direct it, I just had to write it. So I didn't really think about the budget, I was just like wrote this, wrote that. And it was really a cool script, it's floating around somewhere. But it's huge, and will never be made, the studio edited it and said there's no way we can make this, this would cost -- even at that time -- 150 million, and no women would ever go see this movie. It's too big, and they've now combined alien versus "Predators". So they're putting two franchises together, which is probably a smarter way to go since both of those franchises are pretty much dying down. It's the only way to really revitalize it at all. But yes, the -- I don't think that'd ever make it, it was just too expensive". Next, Stein tells us what Kristanna Loken's next film is! Kristanna is "Brunnhild". It's her next project....first after T3. These photos on www.Kristanna.com are exclusive, so I just wanted you to see :-) I am still a big Arnold Fan, so I visit your site very often. Finally, Karen Hoppe just wants to put in her two cents on Arnold as Governator! I would vote him in as president after Bush, he is keeping his promises not like most! He doesn't need the FAME OR FORTUNE! He is a brilliant Business man! He is and will do California well! My family on one side came here from France in the 1400's and the other from Germany when Hitler (no cap's) became big. I am not just of a fan of his movies now, I am now EXCITED that he is our GOV. he HAS NO PUBLIC INTEREST AND IS MORE FAMOUS THAN ANY president we ever had! As person who works in social services and is a tax payer that couldn't pay the DMV charge of $497.00 DMV registration for a 1995 FORD ASPIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give thanks to the man! Our clients that only make MINIMUM wage could never pay what would have been the fees and would have been denied or discontinued from any public assistance for not having their vehicle registered, are now going to have a chance. They couldn't pay it to keep what JOB they had!!!! I love him as an actor and now as our California leader! ----------
