"80 DAYS" REVIEW: ARNO MAKES US "HAPI"!
Movie review and Arnold's big cameo!

At last Arnold Schwarzenegger is back on the big screen! Even though I was not exactly excited to see this movie, due
to unexciting trailers and clips, I sat down last night to see "Around the World in 80 Days" for one reason: ARNOLD!
After just five minutes I realized this film was not for me. It's made for a very, very young crowd. Not that there is
anything wrong with that but I was just caught off-guard. If you have children under the age of 10, you should take them
to see this film because there were a lot of laughter coming from the little ones but very few coming from the adults and
myself. I thought nothing could save this film for me until Arnold showed up.
Unlike Arnold's one second cameo role in The Rock's "The Rundown", this Prince Hapi scene is closer to a co-starring role
instead of a cameo. There are many cameos by celebrities in "80 Days" but Schwarzenegger and Kathy Bates have the longest
ones...thank god!
"One for each day of the week," Prince Hapi explains that he'd like seven wives. His hand resting gently on her shoulder.
"Do Tuesdays work for you?"
The reason this Prince Hapi role is so good is because it takes us back to the "Pumping Iron" or "Carnival in Rio" days when
we got to see him flirt onscreen and shine with charisma and humor. Arnold's character is so jolly and lovable that we are
reminded of the REAL Arnold and we feel like we are in the hot tub with The Oak himself...except for the fact he's drunk,
randy and in red tights with a Richard Simmons wig.
The other thing you will love is the giant Schwarzenegger statue. It's not a silly Hapi statue with the long hair. It's
closer resembling Arnold's TERMINATOR - arriving from the future in the nude and in the THINKER pose.
Without Arnold's big cameo, I would have perhaps fallen asleep but since Arnold did give such a classic movie performance,
I did no doubt get my money's worth! You should all see this Disney film for a fantastic Arnold role and if you want, feel
free to leave after his scene. Arnold's big screen cameo is definitely worth the admission! Actually, stick around about 20
minutes after Prince Hapi for some incredible cinematography of an old Chinese mountainside town and the Jackie Chan fight.
