MAKO TALKS TO "GODS" FOR "KING CONAN"!  Between the times when the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the Sons on Arias... In an age undreamed of Cromisgod made yet another pilgrimage to meet one of his childhood heroes. The Chiller Theatre convention was again going to be just OK until the late addition of the famed "Conan the Barbarian" wizard played by character actor, Mako. This was again a great opportunity to meet and great a member of the greatest Arnold movie ever made. I arrived a bit bleary eyed at 9:30 in the morning in New Jersey and stood in some light rain drizzle for about 30 minutes before I was let into the tent where Mako was signing. I immediately saw him on the left side of the tent signing an autograph on a picture from "Pearl Harbor" for a small child. For his age he looked just like he did in Conan except that he wasn't bald.   I ended up talking to him for about 25 minutes about the filming of Conan and Arnold. Mako also loved that I told him Milius is scouting locations for King Conan. He hopes to be part of it and reprising his role as The Wizard. Again meeting a member turns out to be a great experience and another actor has nothing but fond memories about working on the film and with John Milius and his now famed garden sprayer full of blood. So again it is me, CromIsGod "who is destined to wear a jeweled crown upon a troubled brow". I will continued to bring you tales of "the days of high adventure" CromIsGod had the opportunity to meet many other celebrities including Flash Gordon's Sam Jones and Melody Anderson, Sandy Taylor, Frank Vincent from Goodfella's and T3's Alana Curry!     ---------- |
