Arnoldšs lead security officer from The Arnold Classic, Roger Bir, is back and ready to bring us the final installment of his behind-the-scenes backstage adventures. Read on for PART THREE.

Sunday's activities entailed our working the fitness seminar on Sunday morning. I was surprised when a question asked of Arnold (at the seminar) appeared in Monday's "USA Today." Arnold is still a huge advocate of fitness and bodybuilding and even though hešs governor of California, he'll still remain our chief benefactor.

The rest of the afternoon was uneventful and by 4pm, those of us in the detail were ready to call it a day.

My flight back to Virginia left on Monday morning and a fellow passenger to Cincinnati was Lee Priest. I usually don't render an opinion regarding how the final results are tabulated, but in this case Lee Priest should have finished higher.

Lee was headed to his home in Texas and was a couple of weeks from competing in his native Australia. Another passenger at the airport heading to his home in San Diego, was Nasser el-Sonbaty.

The flight back to Virginia was uneventful and gave me a chance to rest and get ready for my return to the Air Force. Like previous Arnold Classics, it was great to again work with Arnold and be a part of the sport of bodybuilding. Each year we meet new fans of our great sport and continue to renew those friendships of past years. On a side note, Arnold did ask how things were going and passed along congratulations when I told him of my engagement.

The wedding is scheduled for this July and wešre taking a delayed honeymoon cruise in December, interestingly enough with Lou Ferrigno. I received an e-mail inviting me on one of his fitness cruises through the Holland America Cruise Line.

So, that puts to close another year with regards to the Arnold Classic. I was very flattered to be recognized by one of your TheArnoldFans readers and Išll make sure that next year, I'll have my camera with me.

Sincerely,
Roger Bir
