RADIO ARNOLD HITS THE AIRWAVES!  In other news, Arnold fan ROCCO sends us a fan-made poster of a movie he wants to see. How would you like "RoboCop Vs The Terminator" on the big screen?  Abking: Here is the breakdown: TERMINATOR 4: Producers wants none of the past players and now word is they want a young Kyle Reese to battle the machines...FLOP FLOP FLOP! PREDATOR 3: Studio wants John "I made Predator one of the greatest sci-fi action films ever" McTiernan back for a redo or sequel. That is the smartest move for Fox but they also need Arnie as an older battle scared Dutch. If Predator 3 goes forward without Arnie as Dutch, look for a crappy Predator film and a possible...FLOP! KING CONAN: Milius is anxious for Conan to move forward. He wants a new star to play the older bad-ass King. TAFs broke the exclusive that Milius wants Triple H to fill the oak¹s shoes. My strong feeling on this is the fan community will hate this film if it gets made without Arnie has the LEAD King and the film will FLOP big time! King Conan needs a budget of 130 million and with Arnie killing everyone in sight R rated style. John Milius, PLEASE wait for Arnold!!! TRUE LIES II: This film is up in the air but maybe Arnie will do this someday since an older spy is always believable. Look at THE ROCK starring Sean Connery. Maybe Arnie and Cameron will move on and film BATTLE ANGEL ALITA together. Ok THE ARNOLD FANS, maybe some of these EVENT franchise projects will star Arnie when he comes back, but most of them seem to be gearing up for production and Arnie might run for a 2nd term. We will know the outcome by October but my feeling is Arnie will run again and get elected! A mega star like Arnie can't just sign on to regular action films and hope it makes money at this stage in the game. Arnie is older and the action crowd is harder to please. Arnie is not the young action star he use to be in the 80's (even though T3 proved he is still the king)! Sometimes audiences want "old school" hard action thrillers of the past. Sometimes what seemed old is all of a sudden new again! Arnie's two meal ticket franchises are TERMINATOR & CONAN, but if future sequel to those films and PREDATOR 3 go the way of the doe doe bird - then what can Arnie do for an encore once he is back??? The only possible two sequels that can make TONS of money in my opinion are: TRUE LIES II and COMMANDO II...WHY??? In today¹s political climate and mega hit shows like ALIAS & 24 eating up the ratings with characters battling terrorists and bad guys to save the world, maybe Harry Tasker and John Matrix would do HUGE at the box-office with future action packed adventures! With franchises such as MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE doing huge at the box-office, maybe Arnie should have these two Fox hits dusted off once he comes back to action films. The Oak needs a franchise and if it's not Terminator or Conan... then maybe it should be more realistic action packed characters audience can root for while Arnie is blowing away the bad guys and saving the day. TRUE LIES & COMMANDO are two of Arnie's well known and LOVED hits! Bring on the sequels!!! ---------- |
