Magna Media International has obtained the rights to the 2006 Arnold Classic men's
competition and has released this in DVD format, using the high-definition master footage
of the pay per view broadcast PLUS exclusive footage from the Prejudging.
FIVE lucky winners will receive BOTH DVDs!
That's right, there are two discs! The first features the complete Prejudging Competition,
which is a must for bodybuilding fans at home who want to compare the individual athletes
and judge for themselves. The disc includes the solo compulsory poses of every athlete,
plus the Symmetry Round comparisons and the aggressive Muscularity Round comparisons.
A SPECIAL BONUS includes a lengthy tribute to 8-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney, with a backstage
feature as he and journalist Dave Bontempo and fellow legendary bodybuilder Vince Taylor discuss
trends in the sport and the posing rounds seen in the Finals disc; as well as Lee's on-stage
acceptance of the Lifetime Achievement Award. This bonus section is approximately 19 minutes
in length!
The second is of course the Arnold Classic Finals, including a show preview by the pay per view
hosts, the Opening Ceremonies, the complete posing routines of all fifteen athletes, the
announcement of the finalists, the Posedown Round, and the awards ceremonies. Digitally
produced and replicated from glass master discs, this is truly a first-class rendition of
the show made available to the fans on a timely basis, and one hopes it will be the start
of a regular and reliable series of future releases of this great event.
