Stars Feast off of Arnold's Left-overs!
First "I, Robot" and now "I am Legend"!

Depending if you wanted Arnold to make I AM LEGEND or not (the original script by Mark Protosevich that was to star Schwarzenegger was regarded as one of the best ever written), Arnold fans can now grieve or get a breath of fresh air. According to Variety, Will Smith has signed onto the dotted line to play Neville, the last man on earth. Read the news HERE.

With that said, the question now is, how many of the projects Arnie was once signed to make will get greenlit with other mega stars attached --WESTWORLD, DOC SAVAGE, SGT.ROCK (a WWII action film that just got greenlit)? The dreaded answer could be ALL!

But even if Schwarzenegger never stars in those films, fear not oak fans because Arnie is definitely going to "BE BACK"! I've heard Arnold bought the rights for TRUE LIES 2 (through Oak Productions) from his great filmmaker friend James Cameron some time ago. I've also been told this is the reason Cameron told film website IGN FILMFORCE "I have nothing to do with TERMINATOR 4 or TRUE LIES 2." That Cameron interview was conducted way back at the beginning of the year. Buying the rights to the 1994 spy thriller is one of the smartest business moves Schwarzenegger could make to keep alive at the box-office.

It seems like Jim blessed the oak with TERMINATOR 3 and now with TRUE LIES 2! Arnie knows he has to come back strong once he leaves office and a "True Lies Franchise" is the best place to start. TRUE LIES 2 might not be his first movie post governorship, but it will be his new cash cow. The first Harry Tasker action/adventure grossed a spectacular 146.2 million domestic and another 232.6 million foreign for a worldwide total of 378.8 million dollars! The spy film is Arnold's third highest grossing film ever. It is also whispered that NRA screen legend Charlton Heston is still keen on playing the boss of OMEGA SECTOR. Tom Cruise has the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise every few years as a summer tent pole event action extravaganza, so why not Arnold with TRUE LIES.

Besides TRUE LIES 2 and TRUE LIES 3, Arnie has a few films lined up as well. Word around town from Gossip Monkey still says Schwarzenegger and Stallone will make BRUTAL DELUX. Brian Grazer wants to top the Nic Cage/John Travolta action film FACE/OFF and teaming Arnie and Sly in this film will help him accomplish that. The script is said to be hard R and very "brutal" ---pardon the pun!

Apart from BRUTAL DELUX, my spy still insists Arnie has the role of Ido in Jim Cameron's BATTLE ANGEL ALITA. Cameron doesn't start filming for quite a while and Arnie has only 8 months until the world knows if he's back as an action hero or still running California. He'll be back one way or another!
