Seems like Arnie will have to sign on to a whole bunch of new projects when he is out of governorship or he will have to do what Tom Cruise does and buy the rights or create film projects specifically for himself.
According to the reliable Quint at www.moviehole.net, Schwarzenegger has lost another big tent pole action project. Here is the Q&A regarding WESTWORLD:
QUESTION: Hey Clint, Any word on producer Jerry Weintraubs' "Westworld"
remake and who might star? Last word on the project was that director Tarsem Singh had signed on and was developing it. There was mention Schwarzenegger could still be looked at but who knows.

ANSWER: Don't bank on The Oak, sorry! - being in this flick. I heard Nic Cage, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson's name being banded about. T4 I reckon so, but not Westworld. He still has a huge amount of projects on his bicep of a shelf. Who knows, we may even see Will Smith as he seems to be collecting former Arnie stuff too.
Arnold was to have produced WESTWORLD with mega producer Jerry Weintraub (Oceans 11, Oceans 12 and The Specialist) for the WB and receive his usual 20 million paycheck plus a piece of the profits. While the film didn't have a great visionary director like a James Cameron, Steven Spielberg or Paul Verhoeven at the helm, the sci-fi action film did have promising newcomer Tarsem Singh (The Cell) and a novel by once mega popular novelist Michael Crichton.
WESTWORLD could have gone either way at the box-office --a possible JURASSIC PARK meets THE TERMINATOR in my mind -- but now we'll never know. There was also mention of another possible but very unlikely Schwarzenegger vehicle COMMANDO II. Here is another Q&A thanks to MovieHole:
QUESTION: Any idea when all us Commando fans can expect to see a Special Edition DVD? Fox has already missed the 20th anniversary window; tell me we don't have to wait for the 40th! P.S. Any more info on the possible, but highly unlikely, Commando II? Have you ever seen any scripts? - The Vigilante
ANSWER: There isn't a Commando 2 script to see, so no, haven't. I also Don't think it'll happen, I'm sorry to say - put it down to rumors. As for a SE DVD, it could happen..but again, nothing on the radar. That could change though.
Could the COMMANDO SE be finally coming? Hopefully it and a TRUE LIES SE are released at the same time so Arnie will have two of his best non sci-fi action films out in time for action fans to collect once again. And then one day, 20th Century Fox can give fans a COMMANDO/PREDATOR/TRUE LIES box set collection.
In the day and era of dvd sales, if the True Lies SE and Commando SE sell well enough, maybe sequels to both can get up and running. This is my day dream as a fan of course.
