AB King Returns!

Arnold is going to be governing for 4 more years in California and won't be able to make any films during his 2nd term. Unless of course Schwarzenegger can find a way around his busy political schedule and take some weekends off so that he can do some motion capture work for James Cameron's upcoming mega budget sci-fi epic AVATAR. Arnold would be 63 when he headlines his next motion picture.

Schwarzenegger's best chance for an enormous comeback would be to buy the film rights to a potential new "Billion Dollar Franchise" with DOC SAVAGE: THE MAN OF BRONZE. Arnold was built to play Terminator; Arnold was built to play Conan; Arnold was built to play Doc Savage says writer/director Frank Darabont.

Coming back to films after 6 or more years away from Hollywood can be a tricky proposition especially for an action star, but with the right film and the best filmmakers, it can be done! Arnold is finished playing the Terminator character! His last Terminator film was TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES in 2003. Arnold went out on a high with the T-franchise for a total combined box-office gross of more than 1 billion dollars worldwide and that's not including merchandise which would bring the Terminator empire over 2 billion.

MGM chief operating officer Rick Sands revealed this week that the studio is on the hunt for another star to headline the next "Terminator" movie, says Variety.

"It's like the 'Batman' or 'Superman' franchise in that it lends itself to having different actors in the roles," he said, adding that the film will not be called "Terminator 4".

With that said, it's the end of Arnie's old "cash cow". Now it's time to create a new character for a new era. DOC SAVAGE has all the makings of a classic Schwarzenegger action/adventure film. Savage is a mans man; he's wealthy; he's muscular; he's a man of action; he commands attention when he walks in a room etc...just like Arnold!

Having read the script for DOC SAVAGE, Aint-It-Cool regular Moriarty says "it's Schwarzenegger's RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK." Moriarty concludes by saying "This character will make Arnold more iconic." This is the perfect film for the oak to release sequels every three years if the first one is successful. The movie and character would call for big budget summertime fun at the movie theaters, equipped with wild action scenes and over-the-top stunts.

Like his Terminator films, Schwarzenegger could reap millions for himself and the producers with merchandise and video game tie-ins. Rumors suggest that James Cameron bought the film rights to produce the DOC SAVAGE film. Whether that rumor is true or not, Arnold should acquire the rights himself so he can produce his own property through Oak Productions, his production company.

Before Arnold was governor, he told Cinescape magazine he always likes to have several projects in development so that one will be ready when an opening in his schedule emerges.

"If you want to manage your career in a smart way, you develop as many projects as you feel passionate about, and one by one they'll get done," he said. "You have to take the initiative and develop things you are interested in. You don't want to be in a position of waiting around and calling your agent to find out what's out there. In that case, you become like someone for hire. I like to develop my own stuff like James Cameron and Ivan Reitman."

Arnold needs to develop DOC SAVAGE: THE MAN OF BRONZE!!!
