Exclusive: Arnold's Voice in a New Predator Game!

The Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio last weekend was a much more muted affair than usual due to Coronavirus concerns. No expo and no public spectators at most sporting events meant a fraction of the usual crowds all weekend. However, Arnold was there and so were we! Even better, he gave us some cool info about a couple upcoming projects.

Here's what he said when asked if he watches his own movies when they're on TV:

Arnold: The other day Predator came on, and I said to my girlfriend, "Let's watch the beginning." And we ended up watching the whole thing because it still held up today. Other movies don't hold up, but movies like Predator and the first Terminator really hold up, and it was really fun to watch. Interesting enough, a week later I was asked to do some voice-over for a video game that is coming out about Predator. So it was great that I watched it to get back in that mood again to do the voice-over.

Now there's nothing officially announced yet about Arnold being in a Predator video game, but it is very possible he may be referring to "Predator: Hunting Grounds" which releases for PS4 and PC April 24. This game is a multiplayer shooter where you can play as the Predator or a human. There's no mention of Dutch being a playable character, but it could easily be part of additional content unlocked later on (there's already pre-sale content like ol' painless and the original Predator skin). The game looks modeled very much in the style of the original movie with the jungle setting and general vibe.

It’s also possible Arnold may have done his voice work for another upcoming, all new Predator game to be released later this year. Either way, Schwarzeneggger is back with the Predator franchise at last! We'll keep our eyes out for a reveal of Arnold in the game as its release nears! Meanwhile, check out info about it HERE.

The other thing Arnold said was that he continues to be interested in making a movie about German bodybuilder Eugen Sandow.

Arnold: For years I've been working on a project about Eugen Sandow, because he had the most fascinating life. Luckily I was not around at the time because I would be dead now! But that guy was a really amazing strongman. That's why I decided when we produced the Mr. Olympia here in 1976 that we hand out the Eugen Sandow statue as a trophy. Since then it has always been the Mr. Olympia trophy. He was my hero because he was the first strongman that was muscular and he trained the British Royal Air Force. He came over here and was a circus performer, the highest paid entertainer... he did movies with Edison, shot the movie that was in Pumping Iron when he did the flip backwards and forwards with dumbbells in the hands. He was an extraordinary guy, so I'm trying to do a movie of him. Eventually when we get the story perfect, then we will shoot it.
