TheArnoldFans couldn't have been happier with the seat we were given to witness the unveiling of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's official portrait on Monday the 8th! Sitting right behind Franco Columbu and a couple rows behind Schwarzenegger and sons, I awaited this man of the hour to address this largest-ever-gathering for a Governor painting reveal.
When I heard that this new Warner Brothers VIP Tour in Burbank, CA had a Mr. Freeze Schwarzenegger costume on display, I knew I had to go. Little did I know this tour was one of Los Angeles's greatest hidden treasures and is a MUST see for ANYONE (Arnold fan or not) to take the two hour tour! Tell your driver what you're most interested in and they will bring up tour facts about your favorite TV shows, movies or actors. I naturally requested the Arnold package.
Batman, Mr. Freeze 
TheArnoldFans spent another fantastic evening on the red (actually black) carpet and this time it was for The Expendables 3 premiere in Hollywood. It was a blast talking about Arnold to the Austrian Oak's Expendables 3 co-stars so get ready for some new interviews, comments and premiere photos. My camera crew for TheArnoldFans, Chris Heathcoat and Jamin Fite, were the first to pose for us on the carpet.
While I was speaking with Brian Tyler, Expendables 1, 2 and 3 composer at the Hollywood premiere, we talked about the music he chose to give each of these lead action stars but we also talked about his upcoming projects. Tyler shared with TheArnoldFans what his next huge action film he’ll compose and which future Arnold films he’d consider.
Although Arnold did not do red (actually black) carpet interviews for online press THIS TIME, we were still very happy to see him attend the Expendables 3 Hollywood premiere. Schwarzenegger was not on the “Who’s Coming” call sheet which we received a couple of weeks ago so we were pleasantly surprised that he did still come out!
It's been almost two years since we heard the big announcement that Arnold Schwarzenegger would be back as Conan, the barbarian turned king. Older, wiser and more pissed off, king Conan comes out of retirement for one last brutal battle...so we were told. However, considering the silence on this project, we can probably assume that The Legend of Conan is dead or strapped to the Tree of Woe, right? WRONG! Fans, I am hear to tell you the news that is best in life!
On Wednesday morning, TheArnoldFans will be off to San Diego to attend our 9th consecutive Comic Con and to bring the fans the best possible coverage for everything in the Schwarzenegger universe. Many of you action hero fans are pumped hitting the Lionsgate booth to pick up a bunch of free Expendables 3 swag but there's so much more to look forward to at this 4.5 day pop-culture mega event! lthough there will not be a Lionsgate Expendables Comic Con panel this time at San Diego's Comic Con, that does not mean there will not be a strong EX3 presence there. It is unfortunate that the lead actors and biggest box office draw from the film (Stallone and Arnold are not confirmed to attend), we know a few of the actors will still be on hand to meet their fans and sign autographs.
Although actor Stephen Lang has not starred in a film with Schwarzenegger (yet), we know that this star shines bright within Arnold's universe! Like Arnold, Lang has been directed by James Cameron as an unforgettable bad guy. Lang has also had a lead role in Conan the Barbarian (although not the version we love) and they both share a birthday in July. But the strongest connection Stephen Lang has to Arnold is the fact that he narrated Schwarzenegger's audio book, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story!
In the early 90's, Jeff Dawn, the Academy Award-winning lead make-up artist who transformed Arnold into cyborgs for the first three Terminator films, hired Jonathan Bickart to sculpt two bronze busts. Over many weeks, Jeff worked with Jonathan and a pile of photos to capture the perfect essence of The Oak. The one Jeff gave to Arnold lived in his office for years and could still be there. Yet there is another and Jeff kept the second one for all these years…until now.
