9th Annual ARNOLD DAY Returns to Orlando's Lazy Moon on 8.3.13!

Hey Arnold Fans…here’s an event just for you!  Plans are underway for the 9th Annual Arnold Day set for Saturday, August 3 (theSaturday after Arnold’s actual birthday on July 30) at Lazy Moon in Orlando, Florida.  Each year, Arnold Fans travel from near and far to attend this much anticipated celebration that has become a tradition.

Watch your favorite Arnold classic films throughout the day on a large screen; participate in an Arnold look-alike, trivia and quote contests; indulge in a special Lazy Moon Arnold Pizza – a gigantic meat-filled pie; and don’t forget the brews and birthday cake.

For this first time in Arnold Day history, organizers will be showing a NEW Arnold movie…The Last Stand…in addition to Arnold classics such as all the Terminators, Predator, Conan the Barbarian, Total Recall, Last Action Hero, True Lies and Kindergarten Cop.

“While I am a fan, Arnold Day is not just for ‘fanboys’.” said Ryan Boylston, Arnold Day founder.  “It is a celebration of an icon that spans many generations and platforms.  It has practically become a holiday here.”

Boylston, along with Lazy Moon owners Matt Griffis and Tim Brown grew up watching Arnold in the 1980s.  In fact, most of them played with Arnold action figures during a time when “R” Rated movies weren’t quite what they are today.

“Making this year’s event all the more special is our commitment to giving back to our community and the Make-A-Wish Foundation that does much to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses,” said Boylston.  “We hope to continue our support of this cause as we move into our 10th Annual Arnold Day celebration next year.”

While this event is always free and open to all, this year, a portion of proceeds from menu sales will benefit Make-A-Wish® Central & Northern Florida.  100% of proceeds from sales of select beers, including Mainly Cigar City’s Hell Lager, will benefit the charity.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.  The average cost of a wish is $7,000, with that entire amount underwritten by partnerships, special events, foundation grants, and individual contributions.
