"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" Starring Vernon Wells Reaches Numero Uno!

Vernon Wells, best known amongst our community portraying Bennett in Commando, is BACK! Now that Vernon had some time to "let off some steam”, he’s coming back stronger than ever in his latest video game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix). Launched on August 23rd, 2016 to very strong sales throughout the world, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has successfully entered both the UK All Formats Chart and PS4 Individual Format Chart in first place, dethroning last week’s release of F1 2016 and even outselling the vast hype of the recently released No Man’s Sky. 

Vernon Wells stars in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided as Jim Miller; a former marksman in the Australian Tactical Assault Group (TAG) before the Aug Incident of 2027. He has always been passionate about protecting civilians, while having complete respect for the chain of command, although recent orders received from his boss has made Jim Miller begin to question his stance. Jim Miller’s role is especially important to the story as he is the director of the Central European branch of Task Force 29 and the boss of Adam Jansen; the lead character of 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided from the long-running Deus Ex series.

Vernon Wells is not new to videogame voice-overs having previously voiced a variety of characters in a range of games on multiple platforms including Ransik in Power Rangers: Time Force which released on PS1 and PC in 2001; Ridge in Ty 3: Night of the Quinkan in 2005 for PS2; and Samael in Darksiders and Darksiders II which were initially released in 2010 and 2012 respectively on PS3 followed by re-masters of both games on PS4.

There are also many videogames in which Vernon Wells has recorded dialogue for additional voice-over roles in Ultimate Spider-Man which released in 2005 on PS2, GameCube and PC; Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard in 2005 for PC; Golden Axe: Beast Rider which released in 2008 on PS3; Diablo III in 2012 for PS3 and PC; and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls which released in 2014 on PS4, PS3 and PC.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is available at retail stores and via digital download on all current platforms including PS4 and PC.
