On the Red Carpet! FUBAR Brings the Levity !
It has been almost three weeks now since my beginnings of drama had slapped me in the face but I’ll save that story of woe for another day. While I have current personal issues, I’m so happy to at least have Arnold Schwarzenegger’s FUBAR, now streaming on Netflix, get my mind off things and provide levity in this time of need. But enough talk, let me focus on telling you about a great father’s day weekend I had with my son in Los Angeles during the premiere of FUBAR.
On Wednesday, June 11th, my son and I attended the red carpet premiere at the Netflix’s Tudum theater. Now that my son is sixteen, it’s time that I let him experience the pumped-up fun. While we arrived over an hour or more before they would let us through check-in, we were not early enough to gain a ticket into the theater as only the first thirty people in line would get into the screening of the first episode.
But since the series would come out the following day and since I managed to have a Netflix worker bring us out some official FUBAR popcorn and a FUBAR water bottle, it wasn’t too crushing on our souls.
We would still get the red carpet fan experience, thanks to access of Arnold’s Pump Club. I wore my custom-made FUBAR Hawaiian shirt and a couple cast members took notice and found their faces hidden within the shirt design. Fortune Feimster and the costume designer, wearing her custom FUBAR tie, got the biggest kicks out of the shirt.
It wasn’t long after we lined the red carpet when the stars started to show up. Limos were not dropping off celebrities at this location so instead they all showed up almost at once. Arnold and the lovely Heather Milligan arrived to big applause. Along with Arnold, all of the other Schwarzeneggers were here to support their dad. Christopher was looking happy and Patrick ran through the crowd for photo ops.
Christina and Katherine Schwarzenegger and son-in-law Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), as well as the ever-impressive Joseph Baena, were striking poses and smiles for the paparazzi. The rest of the great cast looked to be highly enjoying themselves. Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnett, Carrie-Anne Moss, Barbara Eve Harris, Fortune Feimster and Travis Van Winkle were all in attendance.
Top marks to these actors who really spent extra time with the fans: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Patrick Schwarzeneggers, and Gabriel Luna (wearing a Last Action Hero shirt), last season’s villain. Daniel Ketchell and Adam Bornstein, founding members of the Pump Club, were also very friendly and happy to meet the app members.
Not all of the cast walked through the red carpet but you can always count on Arnold to be their for his fans and to go the extra mile for his projects. The world’s greatest action hero made sure to stop and sign my official FUBAB action figure (only 100 made). Travis Van Winkle, Fortune Feimster and Gabriel Luna also signed the rare figure.
The world’s largest action figure (Arnold as Luke Brunner), stood outside of the movie theater premiere. I didn’t get much time to marvel in its presence on this premiere night so luckily it was moved to Muscle Beach in Venice for the next two days. Here, in Venice, and on Father’s Day, my son and I got to spend some extra time on the beach with big Arnold. Fans could even stand in a package display for photo ops where we can look like an action hero doll too!
Part of my FUBAR life right now is dealing with electronics taken from my home. Without my computer and phone, I’m unable to log into TAFs social media pages so forgive me if I am unable to read and respond to your previous messages. I just hope that one day soon they will be recovered and will be back! In the meantime, I’m having a great time going through each FUBAR season 2 episode, filled with Arnold one-liners and a fantastic break-through performance by Arnold’s long-time friend, Dieter Rauter. Dieter and the pig shines on screen, that’s it and that’s all!
