The bad news is that Arnold shaved his awesome beard. The good news is that he did it for a very good cause: to clean up and look presentable in Washington, DC. Here he spoke with Senator Boxer, Senator Reid and other heroic politicians in attempts to fight for after-school program funding. The Oak, as many of you know, is the founder of the After-School All-Stars (ASAS), which provides comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life.
Great action heroes, a talented director and a powerful soundtrack are often considered the three main essentials that make a great action movie. The combination of these for Escape Plan adds up and makes for a fantastic film (out in theaters NOW). Today we have one of the key contributors with us but before I introduce the film’s composer to you, let me announce something else special.
On this glorious day, while I was on the set of Escape Plan, I spoke with Arnold about several topics including cigars, New Orleans cuisine, his acting and the future of Conan. It was unfortunate that The Oak’s co-star, Stallone, was not going to be on the set this day (so I was told) but this surreal day of speaking with Arnold, dressed as the grey-bearded Emil Rottmayer, was a day I’ll never forget.

First of all, let me say that i'm very happy to hear about the overseas box office sales and the many sold-out theater showings of Arnold and Sly's new action film. Escape Plan opened a week ago in several parts of the world but for the majority of fans, we have to wait until the official release this friday, October 18th

In my Escape Plan set visit PART 1 , I told you all about the constructed sets on the New Orleans soundstage, the filming within the interrogation room and how Arnold, dressed as prisoner Emil Rottmayer, pushed the chicken strips on me. I was going to just give you a PART 2 and be done, however, in light of some new "CONAN" news, you're getting this bonus segment and then later in PART 3, you'll hear about my encounter with Sylvester Stallone along with other memorable Escape Plan stories.

Schwarzenegger, in light gray prison stripes and dark gray hair, descended the steps from the set of the interrogation room and walked directly towards me. I hopped out of the director’s chair for a handshake. “Randy, how are you? I’m glad you could make it. Are you having a good time,” asked my bulked-up Austrian host.
What better location to host an Arnold party than Muscle Beach in Venice, CA, the same beach where The Austrian Oak rose to power among the men who fought like wolves to rule a bodybuilding kingdom of iron..
While I'm looking forward to all of Arnold's upcoming film projects, I must say that i'm looking forward to "Maggie" only second behind Conan. Yes, for me, the anticipation for Maggie even trumps Terminator 5 and Expendables 3.
Sometimes we read the same repeating stories from the lead cast members of The Terminator so it is nice to branch out to hear from the other crew members who have fresh NEW Terminator stories.
