Arnold Honored with World Stunts Lifetime Icon Award!

Billy Lucas, Arnold’s long-time stunt double, presented our favorite action hero with the 2026 WORLD STUNT TAURUS AWARD. Lucas looked sharp and spoke with great passion and respect for his friend just before calling him out on stage. The stunt academy selected Arnold Schwarzenegger as their first ever recipient of the Taurus Honorary Award back in 2021 but twenty-five years later, the honorary lifetime award was now bestowed upon the cinematic legend.

 

Schwarzenegger, whose accomplishments in the world of action films,  was pleased to be given the award, however, he gave all the credit to the stunt men and women, who he calls “the real action heroes".  Arnold said that this award is now his 1,877th award. “Next week, I’m getting an award for having the most awards", Arnold joked.

“The stuntmen and the stunt woman were there with me every step of the way. They made me look heroic on the screen. So when you see the ballsiness on the screen, that’s not me, that’s YOU, the stunt community who are risking your lives.” — Schwarzenegger

 

The World Stunt Awards is an annual ceremony in Los Angeles that singles out the men and women who smash cars, jump through fire, and put their lives on the line to create movie magic. The Academy is comprised of stunt professionals from around the globe.
